As in 2006, the banks of the River Main in the centre of Frankfurt will be transformed into one big fan zone, which the city call the 'MainArena'. It will be open on all Euro 2024 matchdays, showing all of the tournament's games on various large screens, including on a pontoon moored on the river itself (in 2006 this was between the Ignatz Bubis Bridge and the Alte Brücke (Old Bridge), shown on the map below).
The Fan Zone in 2024 will be 1.4 kilometres long and have space for 30,000 people. The area will be located between two bridges, the Friedensbrücke and the Eisernem Steg.
There will be 10 big screens in all, showing all 51 games. The biggest screen of all, floating on the Main, will measure 144 square metres.
